Choir Student of the Week: Alexis Campos

“I’m super excited that I was chosen as student of the week,” stated eighth grade student Alexis Campos, when notified she was chosen student of the week for Choir.

Mrs. Nason explained how Alexis demonstrates the habits and qualities of  a good singer.

“Alexis is a ‘stand out’ choir member because she models how a good singer should stand, breathe, and look (facial expressions). She is always focused and always works hard to learn her music,” stated Mrs. Nason, BYMS choir and strings teacher.

“The Vocal Ensemble performs at many venues and occasions. The Thursday before winter break, they sang for senior citizens at Brookdale Senior Living in Yorba Linda. Alexis knew all her notes, all her words, and was enjoyable to watch,” Mrs. Nason explained how Alexis performed outstandingly.

Outside of school, Alexis enjoys playing softball and spending time with her family.

“I’m so happy that I got to be in VE (Vocal Ensemble) for two years and I’m very thankful to have Mrs. Nason as my teacher,” added Alexis Campos.
