Mrs. Chelsea Smith Joins BYMS Science Department

“I really enjoy BYMS students and staff,” stated Chelsea Smith, the new BYMS seventh and eighth grade science teacher.
In an interview with the Matador Messenger, Mrs. Smith stated, “ I have a Bachelors in Science at U.C.I., Masters in Education at CSUF, and Doctorates in Education at USC.
Smith taught science classes at Chemawa Middle School in Riverside for six years, and Saddleback High School in Santa Ana for one year. One challenge Smith faced was coming in to teach at Bernardo after the start of the school year.
In an interview with the Matador Messenger, a student states “She is very nice and she makes science class enjoyable.”
Some activities Smith enjoys to do outside of school is gardening, reading, watching Korean drama, and spending time with friends, family, and her dogs.
“I’m excited about teaching science because science is fun and all around us,” stated Smith.
