Bernardo Yorba Middle School was announced as a Blue Ribbon School in 2004, and has always exemplified outstanding citizenship. Although over the years BYMS has had trifling adjustments, they are quaint.
Even though Bernardo Yorba has held a high attendance count of 696 students (in grades 7-8) per year, that number has innocuously decreased 10% over the course of 5 years; though it was hardly obtrusive. However, the ratio of students to teachers has been a monotony. The proportion has remained 25:1 each school year since the school came to be in 1970-1971.
BYMS has reiterated outstanding test scores over the years, and BYMS is hopeful that those scores will continue to flourish. BYMS has ranked higher than all other school in PYLUSD, due to the hard working staff members. “I am so proud of our students, and i expect nothing less from next year’s class,” said by one of our several beloved language arts educators, Mr. Kish.
