“This year’s 8th grade student night was a great success. It was very well attended by parents and many of the students from our incoming 9th grade class. The new class is full of energy and excited to join the Esperanza family. I was impressed with the well thought out questions that were asked during the evening,” stated Dr. Ken Fox, the principal at Esperanza.

Esperanza had an 8th grade student night on Wednesday March 25, and all future EHS freshmen and their parents were invited to come and get a feeling for Esperanza.

All the clubs and programs got a chance to give a flyer and explain why the 8th graders should take part in their programs or join a club.

“Esperanza has many opportunities for students,” stated Mrs. Yvette Kettering, counselor at Esperanza stated, “The more you are involved, the better experience you will have.  Also, bring your school spirit because EHS has a lot of spirit and Pride!  Once an Aztec, Always an Aztec!”

EHS offers many courses including the required courses like Language Arts, Math, and Science, and fun electives such as the fine art classes. “Our counselors will be available to assist you with the proper class choices to achieve your goals,” stated Dr. Fox. “The counselors are here to support and guide you,” said Mrs. Kettering.
