Selling everything from small trinkets to books the BYMS Book Fair is open to students and families and they will be selling everything from books to small trinkets from Monday, December 1st and will go until Friday, December 5th during school break time.

Mrs. McCann has recommended some titles at the Book Fair for interested readers. Mrs. McCann recommended the books Stink: No Surrender by Carl Hiassen– “2 boys search for a missing girl using ‘swamp justice,’” A Million Ways Home by Dianna Dorisi Winget – “A moving middle-grade story about love, loss, and the unlikely places we find home,” and the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid:The Long Haul by Jeff Kinney- “Who could pass up taking a road trip with the Heffley Family?”

The BYMS Book Fair is a great place for students to get reading books. The Book Fair is in need more than ever since all the neighboring book stores closed, according to Mrs. McCann.

Procceds from the Book Fair’s proceeds go to the BYMS library and the BYMS PTA. The library gets part of the money to spend on new books (through scholastic) as the books are released, and the PTA gets the rest to fund the ongoing school programs they fund, according to Mrs. McCann.
