“Allison is a wonderful writer and expresses herself clearly and maturely,” Mr. Kish said about Allison Hancock, his nominee for his “Language Arts Student of the Week.”
Allison was very happy and surprised receiving the news. “Double-entry journals are challenging, because you must find a quote and interpret it. You have to use a character’s actions and discover different aspects of their personality through what that say and do.”
“I enjoy reading and interpreting different works of literature. I also like writing about and studying different characters,” she said. Allison is noted to display dedication, maturity, and complexity of thought according to Mr. Kish.
She enjoys writing, singing, and playing soccer in her free time. “I really enjoy character study in this class, because it’s like meeting new people. I like learning about their backgrounds and what motivates their actions.”
