Nine Month Old Charged With Attempted Murder

Musa Khan, a nine month old child from Pakistan, has been charged with attempted murder along with his father and grandfather, reported www.chicagotribune.com.

The family took part in a mob that was protesting against increasing prices and gas cuts. Police officers and gas company workers, who were demanding overdue bills, were stoned by the mob, www.nbcnews.com informed.

An assistant sub-inspector accused the whole family, including the baby, of beating him up and injuring his head.

“He does not even know how to pick up his milk bottle properly, how can he stone the police?” Muhammad Yasin, Musa’s grandfather, asked journalists in court via www.nydailynews.com.

The reason for the baby’s charge is still unclear, but the family’s lawyer, Irfan Tarar, clearly disagrees with the accusation.

“The police filed a wrong. False arrest charge sheet and brought this innocent 9 month-old into this court room for an appearance,” he said via www.cnn.com.

Yasin has now sent the 9 month old into hiding, stated www.nbcnews.com.

“Police are vindictive. Now they are trying to settle the issue on personal grounds, which is why I sent my grandson to Faisalabad for protection,” he said.

Musa is currently on bail and is set to appear at the next court hearing on April 12, but his grandfather is still unsure about taking him there.

“There is immense pressure on me from various corners,” Yasin said via www.nydailynews.com.
