Yorba Linda Public Library Sponsors “Teen Film Festival”

Yorba Linda Library is inviting PYLUSD middle school and high school students to submit entries for the Teen Film Festival by February 12, 2022.

The films can be a maximum of 12 minutes. All editing must be done before submitting the film, and that includes title pages and end credits. Filmmakers can work in teams, but only one award will be presented for the winning film. Any films containing nudity, profanity, or excessive violence will be followed with an immediate disqualification, according to ylpl.org.

The Yorba Linda Public Library has been sponsoring the Teen Film Festival since 2007, according to Jhon Ruge, the librarian in charge of this event. The categories are animation, advertisements, documentary, feature film, and music video. The judging will be a group of independent judges and the People’s Choice voting will be available at the Yorba Linda Public Library’s website from the 21st-26th of February.

The limit of entries is two films for each filmmaker. Interested applicants should submit their entry with this form link Teen Film Festival Submit Form. The deadline to submit any films is 11:59 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022. The winning entries will be shown during the Film Festival Gala and Award Presentation on March 4, 2022.

Jhon Ruge stated, “The Yorba Linda Public Library was inspired to provide teens in the community with an opportunity to express themselves, and their art, through film.”
