Emergency Kits are Needed More Than Ever

We can all agree this 2017 hurricane season has been one of the worst you have probably ever experienced. It all started with Hurricane Harvey, which flooded southeast Texas, from August 31st to September 1st.

Then, it was the 7.1 earthquake that hit Mexico on September 19th. A day later, Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico. After, a brush fire known as the Corona Fire, spread throughout the Corona/Anaheim area. On October 5th, a Tropical storm, known as Hurricane Nate, hit Coastal America.

Be prepared for the rest of the season and every hurricane season after with an emergency kit for whatever life throws at you. Here are just some things you can include:

-Evacuation plan

-Canned food (things that can’t perish quickly)

-First Aid kit

-Radio (Hand Crank or Battery)

-Journal of passwords and usernames

-Multi-Purpose Tool

-Extra Cash

Don’t feel like making one yourself? Stores like Costco, Red Cross, and Amazon sell emergency kits for a range of prices. Costco even sells different sized packs (24 hour pack, 3 day pack, etc.)
