Bold, Metallic Looks Set the Scene at the Met Gala

Having “Manus x Machina” as the theme, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute saw many well-known celebrities that wore bold, metallic looks at the Gala held on May 1st, 2016 in New York.

“Manus x Machina” is the fashion in an age of technology; ‘Manus’ means hand, while ‘Machina’ means machine. “The Costume Institute’s spring 2016 exhibition, presented in the Museum’s Robert Lehman Wing, will explore how fashion designers are reconciling the handmade and the machine-made in the creation of haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear,” reported metmuseum.org.
