Universal Studios Hollywood is working together with the hit AMC zombie show, The Walking Dead, to create a permanent attraction this summer, according to ocregister.com.
“Universal Studios Hollywood says the permanent addition, which gets its own structure, will raise the bar on previous efforts, with ‘authentic walker makeup effects, sophisticated animatronic walkers, substantially more detailed set design and costuming, and highly recognizable props replicated from the series,’” usatoday.com reported.
The ‘walkers,’ (the zombies from The Walking Dead), will have a “life-like” appearance, so this attraction will not be suitable for kids under 13. Also, the attraction will show the zombies, characters from the show, animatronics, live performers, and much more, according to foxla.com.
“The announcement comes just ahead the opening of the Hollywood version of ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ on April 7, which opened at the Orlando location in 2010,” nydailynews.com stated.
Although there is no specific date for when the new The Walking Dead attraction will open, it was announced that it will open in Summer 2018.
