Beyonce, Coldplay, and Lady Gaga are scheduled to perform in this year’s 2016 Super Bowl 50, according to harpersbazaar.com.
NFL and Pepsi, the main sponsor of this year’s Super Bowl 50, have confirmed the National Anthem and halftime show performances. “Lady Gaga is set to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday,” according to nfl.com.
“Global superstars Coldplay, winners of seven Grammy Awards, will perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 halftime show on CBS Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016,” added nfl.com. “Joining Coldplay on stage is R&B icon Beyonce, who at this point needs no introduction,” sbnation.com reported.
Other rumors have been buzzing that Rihanna might also make an appearance during halftime. Although these two performances haven’t been confirmed, people are excited this possibility. “Although a Rihanna cameo still remains rumored, Entertainment Tonight reports that one more act may join Coldplay in the lineup,” reported harpersbazaar.com.
Bruno Mars is believed to be performing during halftime also, but NFL and Pepsi have not confirmed it. “On the topic of returning guests, Bruno Mars will also be performing again, after first taking on the halftime stage two years ago,” added harpersbazaar.com.
“The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show is the most-watched musical event of the year. More than 118.5 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show, marking the most-watched Halftime Show ever,” stated nfl.com.
