Even though the Harry Potter series has ended, fans can get might find solace in reading the James Potter series.

The James Potter series is about the next generation of the Harry Potter characters featuring Harry and Ginny Potter’s firstborn son, James Sirius Potter. The series starts with James boarding the Hogwarts Express for the first time, finding friends, and going on his own adventures, according to techtimes.com.

J.K. Rowling and her literary agency supports G. Norman Lippert, the author of the James Potter series, stated jamespotterseries.com.

G. Norman Lippert has written five James Potter books, including James Potter and the Hall of Elders’ Crossing, James Potter and the Curse of the Gatekeeper, James Potter and the Vault of Destinies, James Potter and the Morrigan Web, and James Potter and the Crimson Thread, according to jamespotterseries.com.

James Potter and the Hall of Elders’ Crossing is about James’s first year at Hogwarts. In this year, Ralph and Zane, James’s new friends, join him along with Ted Lupin and The Gremlins on an adventure to stop a war between Muggles and the Magical world, goodreads.com stated.

“Beginning with some increasingly worrisome questions about the new headmaster, Merlinus Ambrosius, who… may have attracted the attention of a horrible entity known to legend as ‘the Gatekeeper’… James finds himself in a deepening web of intrigue, deception and secrets that stretches all the way back to the time of the founders. In the end, James must face the very real possibility that everything he believes about the new headmaster is a carefully constructed facade,”  stated goodreads.com about James Potter and the Curse of the Gatekeeper.

“This is one of the few ‘fan fictions’ that seems to come close to crossing the border between online wishing and real life writings… I was happy to be back in that Harry Potter world–and I really did feel like I was,” stated Purply Cookie, according to jamespotterseries.com.

In James Potter and the Vault of Destinies, Harry, who is head Auror, is sent to the United States where the wizarding school of Alma Aleron is, and the Potter family accompanies him. James is pulled into an incident including a “framed” Petra Morganstern, a girl who escorts the Potters to the U.S., and may be separated from her sister Izabella (Izzy), but James may find that she is guilty of this crime and maybe even worse things for her magic is powerful even without a wand and headmaster Merlin is wary of her. James has to confront the truth even though it may ruin his viewpoint of the girl he loves and the stability of the magical world, goodreads.com stated.

“James Potter returns to Hogwarts in the wake of ‘the Night of the Unveiling’…  the Vow of Secrecy is crumbling the world over… and threatening magical and Muggle governments with dark magic conspiracies,” stated goodreads.com about James Potter and the Morrigan Web. “A gravely suspicious new headmaster, Rechtor Grudje, institutes Draconian security measures hinting more at dictatorial control than safety… an international exchange program allows students from Hogwarts, Alma Aleron, Durmstrang, Beauxbatons and a mysterious fifth school to attend each others’ classes.”

“A growing danger known as the Morrigan Web, a mythical, magical doomsday weapon threatens to tumble the entire world, Muggle and magical alike, into the hands of the vicious Lady of the Lake. In the center of it all, Petra Morganstern and her sister Izzy– the Sister Fates of the Lady of the Lake– move quietly in the shadows, out of sight, weaving their own mysterious master plan,” goodreads.com stated.

“I’m bowled over Lippert’s James Potter series,” stated Tara Lynn, according to jamespotterseries.com.

“The Megaplot– the deeper story arc that runs through all the James Potter books– is still very thick. There is much to see and do before the final end… I am considering writing just ONE MORE James Potter story… it’s a shortish story, a mere clipping compared to the JP stories, so I have every expectation of finishing it soon and launching into ‘James Potter and the Crimson Thread’,” stated G. Norman Lippert, according to goodreads.com.
