Tens of thousands of people ran in the 32nd Los Angeles Marathon, which held on Sunday, March 19, according to lamarathon.com.
Elisha Barno and Helen Jepjurgat won the LA marathon with ease, according to latimes.com. “Barno finished in a time of two hours, 11 minutes and 52 seconds, while Jepkurgat crossed the finish line after two hours, 34 minutes and 23 seconds, according to the official L.A. Marathon tracker,” according to bleacherreport.com.
“As a student in Kenya, Elisha Barno made a three-mile run between home and school four times a day, counting a quick trip for lunch. He routinely ran nine miles roundtrip to participate in extracurricular sports,” according to latimes.com.
The Los Angeles Chargers football team also ran in this event, according to chargers.com.
