“Mama immediately throws you into a state of ‘What is going on?’and keeps you on edge. The plot setup requires the usual scary movie suspension of belief necessary to keep the story from crumbling before it gets to the meat and potatoes,” says Fandango user “MedRed.”
Mama is about the day that the parents of two sisters die.The sisters, Lilly and Victoria, vanish in the woods, prompting a frantic search by their Uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend, Annabel (Jessica Chastain).
Five years later, miraculously, the girls are found alive in a decaying cabin, and Lucas and Annabel welcome them into their home. But as Annabel tries to reintroduce the children to a normal life, she finds that someone — or something — still wants to tuck them in at night.
“Mama was awesome. It kept me on the edge of my seat until the end,” said BYMS student, George Buenrostro. “The group I went with enjoyed it and with it being number one in the box office with 28.4 million dollars, other people must’ve enjoyed it too.”

I thought it was a good movie, but it missed a couple of key points. The part where the kids came to the house? Needed more tension. What would you rate it?
