Hunger Games: Catching Fire Preview
The cast and crew of the anticipated sequel, Catching Fire (in theaters Nov. 21) spent their final days of shooting the second movie to the famous trilogy, The Hunger Games.
In Catching Fire President Snow (played by Donald Sutherland) makes a devious plan to force previous winners from the Hunger Games back into the arena for the Quarter Quell. Katniss and Peeta have to fight to the death once more with experienced and ruthless Hunger Games champions.
Sam Claflin won the role of District 4’s charming but deadly tribute Finnick Odair. Finnick and Katniss (played by Jennifer Lawrence) become unlikely but unstoppable allies in the 75th annual Hunger Game’s Quarter Quell.
Jena Malone plays District 7’s lethal assassin Johanna Mason. Johanna eventually teams up with Katniss and her allies to fight the careers and advance further in the Games.
The arena for the Catching Fire takes place in beautiful Oahu, Hawaii. From Jurassic Park to Lost, Oahu has been the home to many legendary movies. The arena may seem like paradise for most people, but the tributes do not know what bloodbath is in store for them on the perilous island.
The Hunger Games won People’s Choice Award’s Favorite Movie, Action Movie, Movie Franchise; and Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth won Favorite on Screen Chemistry. Many Hunger Games fans that read the books predict that Catching Fire the movie will be just as good in the box office as The Hunger Games. Happy Hunger Games!
