The “Force” has awakened. Rumors broke out last year that Disneyland would close 14% of their attractions in order to make space and provide resources for Disney’s all new Star Wars land, a 14-acre theme park for one of the largest movie franchises of all time, which is expected to open in 2019, according to NME
The parks will be Disney’s largest-ever singled-themed expansion, the company stated. Star Wars land, which was originally announced in 2015, will take visitors to “a never-before-seen planet, where characters and their stories will come to life,” according to the.week.
The park will include attractions such as allowing guests to be in the midst of a battle between stormtroopers and resistance fighters, and guests will be able to ride and control the Millennium Falcon while under enemy fire, according to the.week
This one-billion dollar expansion will also mean 14% of the park and use 14 acres of Disneyland. Which will also mean a reconstruction of Frontierland and its rivers of America, which has been closed too. Meanwhile, construction continues and large cranes tower the skies in the northwest portion of the entire theme park of Disneyland, according to oc.register
